(Review for SnagIt and Camtasia)
These 2 applications by this company are among the best in their genre.

Snagit contains all that you need to create professional-looking screenshots with many tools for annotation, cropping, and editing that can help a lot.
I use it both for quick screenshot cropping to send with instant messages AND professional screenshots to send to my staff on how to do things with the computers.

Camtasia is also the best screen capture I've ever used, can create quick and professional-looking training videos, with also many tools for annotating and adding effects on videos, sounds, and mixing.

I own both these software, with their respective maintenance agreement to always have latest versions.

Their price is not low as some expect, but the ease of use makes them worth every penny.

The review system on this site lacked more stars for Value for Money! I don't have much time to "figure it out" this software out of the box is built for those with a busy schedule, and the software figures it out. Is it perfect? Well, nothing is. But I'll give it a 99% out of 100%. By far, the best software and the most economical price are offered. You get what you pay for, but sometimes you stumble across something that you didn't pay enough for, yet it still blows other products out of the water. This is one of those products! I've used this product for years. It is the EASIEST/Self-started software that I've come across, and not sure there is a competitor in the business that offers what you offer with ease of use system-wise.

I oversee, some as CEO and some as only a board member, moving forward, never worrying about our competition as we were too busy obtaining market share to worry. As a C-Level executive, I'm the guy you might email once or twice, as I might have missed the point with the hundreds of emails each day. My job as a CEO boils down to making 2-3 good decisions each day. Doing that keeps the companies moving forward with swift execution that in our markets we operate in, excel at obtaining market share. The customer support after the sale is simply horrible. You may have to wait up to two days for them to solve a problem. I purchased an annual subscription for Audiate, and it locked me out and kept telling me that I had to buy a subscription to use the app. To make matters worst, I also purchased a maintenance agreement. Please save your money.

Great service. I've been using for almost a year. The course may not always be good, but there have never been any problems. Support works well. Thank you very much, I will continue to use this service

In Camtasia you will be surprised to find out how easy it will be to use, I have used this program for a nice 11½ years, I am in around October this year about to hit my 12th year in this program. It has been through many experiences, ups n' downs tbh. I can recommend this program for sure if you need a great starting program, or something that is easy and simple to use. And even useable to an advanced user like myself. 9/10

- Only real negatives I have encountered are the times the program starts to lag a lot, when you add a lot of effects or else like so. It can take around 30 minutes extra to an extra hour to get a project done, but I also use a ton of effects, so I might just be adding too much in :)

I'm on a Mac. I left Camtasia 2021 6 months ago because of constant crashes and video freezing, which required re-recording of videos. I started using ScreenFlow, which isn't bad, but Camtasia is easier to edit in.

I thought I'd try Camtasia again, but the same issues are still there. They happen so often that when you try to contact their support office, they have an article that tells you about the camera freezing problem, that they are working on it, and their remedy is for you to re-record the video. Nice. They also say this problem is common with other video packages.

I never had that problem once with ScreenFlow.

I'm done. This obviously is not a big issue for them.

Introduced a new file format with SnagIt 22 and now every time you save it just saves in this format even when you tell it to save in a different format. You now need to manually resave the file into the format you want and now you have two files on your hard drive so when the hard drive bloats you have to manually go back and delete their format which provides zero value and is not recognised by any other program on the planet. And of course no fix or response from the company which is a screw you to customers.

This was a go-to lifesaver app when it was Jing. Whatever garbage "TechSmith Capture" is, leaves me sad at best but mostly angry. I'm not a tech person or a reviewer. This was simply a good app turned garbage.
